2/27/26 Nicaragua – Friday – The Ninth and Final Day

Before leaving, we had two activities planned. First was to take our translator team and treat them to lunch at the beach. After that, have another joint service in the evening to give a brief message and say our goodbyes.

This trip began with a lot of activity, but now was closing out peacifully. We began to discuss dates of our possible return.

Despite the initial issues with customs, for the most part I have always found my trips here to be welcoming. The people are eager for the Gospel message of the Kingdom of God. And I especiall want to thank my friend Terry with Kingdom Stuff Ministires (see resources page). We first served together on staff at the same church almost 30 years ago. I will be forever grateful for the initial and continued invite to come with his teams.

We left early the next morning, and everyone headed for home. Except for some minor flight delays, we all arrived home safely.

And a special shout-out to Pastor Leo for all he did to help make this trip a success.

One of my favorite stories is The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. When I come on these trips, I feel like Bilbo Baggins off on an adventure he never expected to take. Terry would be Gandalf, and Pastor Leo would be ¨Leo-galas!¨ I wish everyone could have some friends like these.
