Many people do not realize how the church movement they are part of greatly impacts their understanding of how the Holy Spirit is viewed in scripture. Likewise, many people do not realize the impact of the culture they grew up in, shapes their expectations for how the Holy Spirit is supposed to move in their lives.

This book tries to take an honest look at ways our culture has caused us to miss key essential points in the Scriptures, which cause us to misunderstand the Power of God. And without properly understanding both the Scriptures and the Power of God, we can not truly understand the Kingdom, the Church, and the Holy Spirit.

I am a firm believer in Spiritual Warfare, but in this book, we will honestly look at just how few abilities scripture attributes to evil spirits, and what the actual effect is that they have on day-to-day living. Many Christians enter spiritual warfare with the unspoken belief that somehow, whatever God can do in righteousness, Satan can do equally well, but from an evil perspective. This unintentionally translates into the notion that Satan is equal to God in scope and abilities. By assisting our enemy, through the spreading of propaganda that his kingdom is more powerful than it actually is, we are unwittingly giving aid and comfort to our enemy. I fully concur that there is a kingdom of darkness, but it is not co-equal in scope or power to the Kingdom of God, just a very poor imitation of the original.
